Within this page are more images taken during my adventure to the amazing Galapagos Islands, one of the youngest land masses on Earth. On this page are photos of the remarkable and tenacious Galapagos Tortoise, which has suffered greatly by human predation and invasive species since humans discovered the Galapagos 472 years ago. There are successful breeding programs for tortoises and land iguanas at the Charles Darwin Research Center on Santa Cruz island and repopulation of some of the islands with their native reptile species has begun.
Also here are photos of the Land Iguana and Brown Pelicans' flying and nesting in the mangroves lining the red-colored beach and cliffs of Rabida Island. Here I also photographed Galapagos Sea Lions, American Oystercatchers and the curious Blue-Footed Booby. Additionally, I have images of the ubiquitous Yellow Warblers that were hovering over the Tortoises on Santa Cruz as I photographed them. Hopefully my photography will convey in at least a small degree the wonder of the Galapagos Islands. Please also visit my newest Galapagos page,
